To all PCAS/ACAS Members and previous conference attendees,
Due to the current Covid19 pandemic and the general uncertainties surrounding travel and large gatherings, the PCAS/ACAS Executive Council has made the decision to cancel this year’s conference. We have arranged with the hotel to move our conference reservation in New Orleans to next year. We will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of PCAS/ACAS in New Orleans from September 30th – October 2nd 2021 and hope that you will all be able to join us there.
We are planning a virtual gathering for everyone to attend on Friday, October 2, 2020. This would be a general meeting, and everyone will be welcome. More details to follow.
For those members who have submitted an abstract for this year’s conference: If you would like to roll that abstract submission over to next year, please let the program chairs know at pcasacasorg@gmail.com.
Regarding membership and journals: Each year when you attend the conference you pay a conference registration fee and membership dues. Those dues pay for the two journals that PCAS/ACAS produces: Studies in Popular Culture and Studies in American Culture. To maintain your membership, continue to receive your journals, and support the organization, please renew your membership for the coming year. Dues for 2020-2021 are $40 and can be paid on our website at https://pcasacas.org/pcasdir/pcas-acas-membership/
